What will the apprentice be doing?
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Early Years apprentice. In this role, you will work closely with the EYFS lead and staff team to provide high-quality care and education for children aged 2 years and above. Your primary responsibility will be to complete the Level 2 childcare qualification and contribute to the smooth functioning of our Early Years Setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment that supports children in their play and overall development.
- Assist teaching staff in the preparation and organisation of teaching resources.
- Collaborate with staff members to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for children aged 2 to 4 years.
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional well-being, including assisting with personal hygiene routines.
- Provide additional support to children during lunchtime activities.
- Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement effective teaching strategies and ensure positive learning outcomes for children.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Genuine care and concern for young children, with a passion for their well-being and development.
- Ability to quickly develop competence in understanding child development principles and apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling you to collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians.
- Strong organisational skills to assist in maintaining a well-structured learning environment.
- Willingness to pursue a Level 2 childcare qualification to enhance your professional knowledge and skills.
