We are looking for a new member of our warehouse operation. We need someone who is willing to learn the key skills in warehousing and become a useful and dependable member of the team. We warehouse and distribute a wide range and number of chairs and these are despatched daily from our main warehouse.

What will the apprentice be doing?

•Picking orders from the warehouse floor. •Packing orders. • Labelling boxes. •Organising stock. •Unloading delivery vehicles. •Checking goods in. •Booking goods in to the computer. •Health and Safety compliance. •Technical product work. E.g. replacing parts / checking for missing parts. •Handing over goods to couriers. •Communicating with the office team.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will study Supply Chain Warehouse Operative L2. This will be aided by an assessor who will carry out all assessments as work-based learning within the workplace. We will give one to one training on all aspects required. Close supervision at all times until proficiency is demonstrated.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We would like to see the apprentice complete the course well and seek further employment using their new skills in a similar environment. Consideration will be given for continued employment within the company post-apprenticeship.
