What will the apprentice be doing?
• Preparation of clinical notes that arrive and leave the practice
• Blood Pressure Averaging
• Photocopying of supplies and ensuring receptions are adequately stocked
• Helping achieve essential NHS targets where appropriate- sending texts etc.
• Assisting with annual review recalls
• Assisting with basic tasks, generating basic referrals
• Other duties to help support the admin teams
Once confidence and skills grow, the successful apprentice will be able to assist with more complex and responsible tasks including having telephone and face to face contact with patients.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
End-Point Assessment (EPA)
Relevant training will be provided through Lancaster and Morecambe College
In order to successfully complete the Business Administration Apprenticeship Programme, subject to attending an Apprenticeship Preparation Training Session here at Lancaster and Morecambe College.
