As the successful candidate, you will learn all aspects of Technical Print Operations. This will cover stereo, documents, and digital printing processes and will report directly to the Technical Print Section Head.

What will the apprentice be doing?
The Technical Print Operator Apprentice will work to provide first class service to both internal and external customers, to the highest standards regarding Health, Safety and Environmental deliverables, and efficient materials processes. - Complete any apprenticeship-based courses and be prepared to undertake any future training, internally or externally, as required by Catalent
- Support technical printing operations that comply with cGMP
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards are always maintained
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness via an embedded 5S program
- Take part in daily walks of each active production line checking document, stereo, blank requirements
- Preparation of stereo printing mats to meet the Production Schedule
- Support with Manufacture, checking, approval and control of printing mats for production
- Maintenance and generation of SOPs / SMRs relevant to the printing mat process
- Generate and distribute batch manufacturing records (BMRs) in line with the finite schedule - Update order status on ERP system
- Use of PAS-x system for EBR's and SFO / KPI system for reporting metrics
- Use and maintain the Production Schedule, track all batches through the manufacturing process
- Report any accidents, incidents and / or any other health and safety related matters in accordance with company policy
- Work with the Technical Print Lead to arrange training to become fully competent in other areas in accordance with the 1 :3: 1 practice
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Internal training program and working with specialist print operatives. Apprentice will be working within the Catalent Swindon Site at all times. Apprentices will complete the Level 2 Print Operative apprenticeship qualification.
You will be assigned a BPIF training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery. Candidates who do not have the required level of maths and / or English will be required to complete functional skills as part of their apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
This is a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship. If the apprentice successfully completes the apprenticeship and if suitable vacancies are available for the apprentice to apply for, then there may be potential opportunity for the apprentice to progress into a new role.
