You will be creating a stimulating & adventurous environment, allowing children to choose how they want to play. As a playworker you will are for and support children in taking responsibility for themselves and their own playing whilst creating a stimulating and adventurous space for children to learn and explore.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Set up learning spaces including moving equipment
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining a safe environment
  • Assist with planning, preparing and delivering a high-quality playing environment
  • Provide comprehensive care for children of all ages
  • Support and maintain the logging of confidential records
  • Support children with literacy and numeracy
  • Supporting in the maintaining of good relationships with school, parents and children

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The training for the programme will include online learning, webinars, practical sessions and visits in the workplace. On completion you will achieve a level 2 Playworker qualification and Functional Skills as required.
