What will the apprentice be doing?
On a day-to-day basis as a Lean Manufacturing Operative apprentice, you will be carrying out your work safely & meeting the high-quality standards set in a fast paced & well organised environment. Your duties will vary and include the following:
- Glass Handling
- Glass Cutting
- General Glass Processing
- Bespoke glass processes including, Painting, Sandblasting & Lamination
- IGU Manufacture
- Machine operation
- Health & Safety
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprenticeship consists of:
- Intermediate Standard Apprenticeship-Lean Manufacturing Operative
- L2 NVQ Diploma in Manufacturing
- Functional Skills in English and Maths (Level 1/2) where applicable
- All aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with your employer, and you will have regular site visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme
- You will achieve a qualification in Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Standard
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Progressing into higher level jobs within the company, increase in wage depending on performance. Chance to progress into further qualification such as Fabrication, Site spraying, and Supervising. All performance based
