What will the apprentice be doing?

Your job role will include the following:

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Process accounts receivable and payable
  • Work with an accountant when necessary
  • Gain experience with accounting software such as FreeAgent, Xero, Sage or Quickbooks
  • Gain excellent knowledge of general accounting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns for a wide range of sectors, eg: Hotel & Leisure,
  • Agriculture, Medical, etc.
  • Ability to work to and meet monthly deadlines
  • Work in an ethical and professional manner
  • IT literate Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 which contains:

  • Advanced bookkeeping
  • Final accounts preparation
  • Management accounting:  costing
  • Indirect tax
