Things to consider

How does an Apprenticeship work? As an Apprentice, you will be employed, just like anyone else in the organisation, the difference is that you will be studying towards a qualification, whilst you work. You’ll spend a minimum of 6 hours a week (of your total working hours) in a number of different training, learning & development activities that all develop your knowledge, skills & behaviours in line with your apprenticeship qualification. These will include (for example) staff meetings, online courses, shadowing other team members, as well as a monthly study workshop) basically a lesson, with your Tutor, lasting for 2-3 hours, during which you will be taught a particular subject / topic / module. Please NOTE: your lesson is delivered REMOTELY, and so there is no requirement for you to attend any other location other than your place of work. Any work that you are set within this session is then expected to be complete for the next month’s session. You will be given time each week to do this within your working day - so NO homework!! This will all prepare you for your End Point Assessment (EPA) once you have completed all the learning required. As CT Skills is a Training Provider, all our vacancies are for immediate start (NOT September!) so please consider this when you are applying. Things to consider: Your application via The Government Apprenticeship website, is the 1st stage of CT Skills’ (Training Provider) Apprenticeship Application Process. If your application is shown as ‘successful’ this means that you have passed the first stage of our application process and will receive an email requesting your latest CV from a member of our recruitment team. You will need to check your emails and junk/spam folder for this. Once we have received your CV, you will be contacted by a member of our team to take your application further.
