This vacancy provides an opportunity for someone to build a career within the Roxel UK Finance Department and become equipped with the professional skills and knowledge to become a senior finance member of staff in the future. The successful candidate will gain experience in multiple finance areas, which will provide a range of experiences including financial support duties, project accounting, and financial and management accounting work. This will begin with undertaking activities of a more junior level, before increasing responsibility in line with greater experience, knowledge and professional skills.

What will the apprentice be doing?
The following activities are examples of the type of work that may be covered in the first year on the role:
- Processing financial inputs, such as Purchase Ledger, Journal Transfers and Bank transactions
- Running relevant reports
- Monitoring financial reports to ensure accurate postings
- Maintaining financial systems and procedures
- Identifying and investigating anomalies and carrying out reconciliations
- Assisting in the month and year end process
- Attending meetings as required (for knowledge building purposes) and communicating actions effectively
- Reconciling bank statements to control accounts and identifying discrepancies
- Planning and organising own work, dealing with both routine and unexpected tasks to provide support to other team members when required
- Undertaking any other duties as appropriate to the grade and scope of the placement including any appropriate project work
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Worcester (WR4 9GN)
- You will receive training one day per week which is a combination of face-to-face and remote, as per your assigned training plan
- Additional training for functional skills in English and maths will be undertaken if needed
- You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2 qualification
- There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in the spring of each year offered to all apprentices on programme
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- This role provides a range of project experience across the division and fully funded Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) training, with the potential for further qualifications beyond
