What will the apprentice be doing?
- To assist in the polishing & assembling of catering fabrications & organisation of the loading area and workshop
- Work in accordance with production manager and workshop supervisors instructions for production sequence
- Safe operation of cutting, folding, polishing equipment and machinery
- Assemble & polish catering fabrications using relevant equipment & machinery
- Quality & final check finished items following company processes
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading, following safe working practices
- Assist with refuge / recycling disposal & collection following company procedures
- Monitor supplies & stock levels, report accordingly when levels get low
- Ensure machinery & equipment is safe to use prior to operating, reporting immediately any faults / maintenance issues following company processes
- Practice good housekeeping, Keep work areas clean, tidy and free of any potential hazards
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies, risk assessments & safe working Practices, ensuring your own health & safety and that of others
- Adhere to company policies and working practices
- Help in other areas within your level of competency as requested by managers and directors
- Adhere to apprentice agreement
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will be working towards completing the Metal Fabricator Standard which will include the following:
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
- Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
- Functional skills in English, maths and ICT (if not already achieved)
