What will the apprentice be doing?
You will join a small professional team providing a friendly, proactive and high quality service. We produce a wide range of printed products from business cards and flyers to signage, POS and exhibition graphics.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Operation of various digital print equipment including HP r2000 flat-bed and Ricoh small format presses
- Operation of various finishing equipment including binding, laminating, flat bed cutting and guillotining
- Operation of industry standard software including Adobe illustrator, in-design, photoshop
- Operation of Fiery and Onyx Rip station
- Picking and packing of small and large format jobs
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification achieved will be a Level 2 Print Operative standard. Throughout your journey you will be supported by both Fountain Print and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your own development and the business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery. Candidates who do not have the required level of maths and/or English will be required to complete functional skills as part of their apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After the apprenticeship is completed we would like to offer the applicant a full time role to expand on what they have learnt and progress with the ever advancing technologies that occur in print. This position has good career growth prospects in an expanding company working in a fast moving and exciting industry.
