What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidates will work within the policy, procedures and Health and safety of the company, and to customer requirements.
Maint electrician and Mechanical engineer would be to carry out breakdowns, schedules,build/refurb machinery general maint duties, new installations.Toolmaker to make/refurb tools using millers, lathes, grinders, slotters, shapers etc
Quality technician to carry out quality control duties around site ensuring product leaving site passes standards required reportable to quality manager.
Within the first year you will attend HWGTA to learn the basic skillset to become an Engineer, and be able to put this skillset into the respective team at Titan.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Worcester (WR4 9GN). You will be placed at the training centre through your first year of the apprenticeship, one day in the classroom and 4 days in the workshop.
With year 2 you will receive training one day per week which is a combination of face-to-face and remote, as per your assigned training plan.
Additional training for functional skills in English and Maths will be undertaken if needed.
You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your STANDARD - LEVEL 3 - ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN [Mechatronics] (Electrical Fitter) (Toolmaker) .
Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Mechatronics Maintenance Technician
Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in spring of each year.
