What will the apprentice be doing?

We have a number of positions available for the September 2022 intake and are looking for people that are starting their career and want to develop a new set of hands-on skills, build a career path, and join a growing company. We will provide full training to develop the skills and knowledge you need as a Composite Technician or engineer; we want you to bring the enthusiasm and attitude to succeed. Final roles are available across all areas from:

  • Kit Cutting
  • Laminating and Clave
  • CNC, Paint, Trim, Inspection and engineering

The ideal learner will be:

• Hands on and a can-do attitude

• Confident and able to adapt to tasks required

• Hard working and reliable

• Punctual and committed in all aspects

• Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The learner will be studying the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard qualification, which includes EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence), EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (Development Competence), and Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge).
  • Day release to West Suffolk College.
  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
