Surgery Business Administrator Apprentice Adelaide & St Levan Surgery
This is a new and exciting role for an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join our small but very busy administration team here at the GP Practice. The role will be varied and challenging and will involve most business aspects in supporting the day to day running of Adelaide and St Levan Surgeries. The role includes assisting with routine financial administration under supervision of a senior administrator, liaising with local medical authorities on medical support provision enquiries and receiving incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls, taking messages and dealing with appropriate enquiries.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Responsibilities will be varied and challenging but are aimed at supporting a busy medical surgery and, in particular, the business support team. Tasks could include;
- To ensure administrative and clerical duties within the practice are carried out within the practice guidelines and policies
- To provide general secretarial/admin support to the GPs, managing partner and other staff including word processing and audio typing
- Develop knowledge of GP software and Microsoft programmes such as but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access
- To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls, taking messages and dealing with appropriate enquiries
- Assisting with routine financial administration under supervision of a senior administrator
- Liaising with local medical authorities on medical support provision enquiries
- The post holder is required to conform to all Adelaide and St Levan Surgery policies and to attend any training sessions as necessary
