We are looking for someone who would like to experience both front of house and kitchen duties. For front of house, the role is to welcome and serve customers, take orders, prepare drinks and carry out general cleaning tasks. In the kitchen, typical tasks include food preparation, maintaining stock levels and preparing customer orders.

What you will do in your working day
- Food preparation – ensure food stock levels are well managed throughout the day and top up as required. This includes making our sandwich fillings and preparing salad items.
- Serve customers – ensure friendly, professional and efficient service at all times.
- Drink preparation – use the coffee machine to prepare high quality drinks.
- Cleaning – ensure all areas of the kitchen and café are kept clean and tidy, following health and safety rules.
- Baking – ensure the patisserie fridge is well stocked for the next working day. We make all of our cakes, sweet treats and scones.
The training you will be getting
- The Apprentice will be working towards the Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Standard.
- Functional Skills (if required).
- College attendance will be required one day per week.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
This role can open up many opportunities for future progression. After completing this apprenticeship, ongoing studies at level three are possible. As an “all-rounder” role, it also gives the apprentice a very good insight into both front of house and kitchen roles. This can enable the apprentice to then decide if they would like to concentrate more on one area in their future career.
