We are looking to offer the chance for someone with real passion, enthusiasm and ambition to learn and grow with a local well established engineering company in Lye. This role would suit someone with an interest in engineering although you will be predominantly based in the warehouse, you shall learn more aspects of the business. You will be accepting deliveries and booking in and out materials, as well as other duties.

Things to consider

Although this role is predominantly in the warehouse you will be learning everything within the company and shall be expected to get involved in a variety of tasks. If you have any engineering or CAD experience that would be great. If you are comfortable with Microsoft programmes including Word and Excel that would also be useful.

Portway’s tooling is produced on high precision machine tools using the very latest technology for us to be a competitive manufacturer. Ultimately, the parts from our tooling for the automotive industry are supplied to companies such as BMW, Mercedes Benz, Renault, Toyota and Honda. Metal parts off tooling for the computer industry are covers, bases, cage drives and internal support brackets for companies such as Compaq, IBM, Digital and Xerox.
