What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be:

  • Liaising with customers to book in work
  • Dealing with customer service contracts
  • Dealing with suppliers to complete orders and quote work
  • Carrying out administrative tasks for the office
  • Communicating with engineers to book work
  • Ordering parts
  • Logging customers jobs and writing a calls log

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.

Workplace training and learning, together with weekly college attendance - at our Lowestoft Campus - on Wednesdays between 09.30 and 16.00.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

It is intended that - providing you successfully complete your apprenticeship - you will continue in your employment with us.

Once qualified, you would then go on to learn all aspects of the garage equipment industry and take on more responsibilities, potentially leading to a managerial role.

Things to consider

You will be required to spend long periods of time working on a computer. The job is in a location where transport will need to be considered. Sometimes you will be required to attend garage sites to carry out site surveys and potentially help load new equipment into vans.
