You will maintain supervision of customers in the centre; to ensure they get the most from their session, have an enjoyable visit and that they are safe throughout their visit. You will also undertake coaching/supervision of courses and sessions as required.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- To make and record safety checks in line with company procedures on climbing equipment.
- To ensure the day to day preparation of the facilities for a variety of sessions and private bookings both within the climbing arena and throughout the building.
- To supervise the arena area, assist climbers in difficulty, undertake any necessary safety operations and apply first aid as needed.
- To undertake coaching/supervision of courses, parties and sessions as required.
- Welcome customers from reception.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- You will under take the Community Activator (Level 2) Apprenticeship.
- You will also recieve Level 2 Clip'n Climb training
- Undertake one day emergency first aid at work.
- Under take level 2 food hygiene.
- Training will be at your work location.
- You will have 20% of your work time as protected learning.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- After completion of the community activator apprenticeship, you can work towards a supervisor role, with resposibility for staff, and a level 3 outdoor activity instructor qualification.
- Further development will be to centre duty manager with the opportunity to undertake the level 3 leisure management qualification.
