What will the apprentice be doing?

You will assist and participate in the following activities : 

  • Maintenance and repair of masonry structures and brickwork
  • Painting & decorating
  • Carpentry repairs
  • Plumbing repairs

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Working on a variety of commercial / social and domestic sites, you will get the opportunity to put your new skills into practice under the expert guidance of our experienced tradespeople. A mentor will support you along the way and help you to develop the skills and behaviours needed to progress in your career. Most of the training and learning will be conducted on site via your learning diary but you will also be required to attend college on a day release basis. You will recieve a national certificate in Property Maintenance Operations which will then entitle you to specilise in facilities operations and then onto facilities management. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential for permanent employment as a qualified tradesperson.
We are looking for apprentices who will, in time, progress through the company and support our business plan to build a pipeline of talent.

Things to consider

The role will involve travel to a variety of different site locations. The role will cover Bristol ( BS16 7FL ) and Swindon (SN2 5HE) so applicants should ideally have their own transport or be in the process of obtaining their driving licence. The employer can arrange pick ups and drop offs in the short term but the Apprentice will be expected to be driving in the longer term.
