The successful candidate will support the development of learning, independence, communication and behaviour under the guidance of the classroom team.

Year one: To be based on NMW rate or NLW rate applicable to the individual on the basis of their age. Year two onwards: To be based on the Living Wage Foundation (LWF) rate.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Working and learning in a Primary environment, to support classroom learning, classroom management, good behaviour for learning and overall well being, apply teaching strategies to deliver learning activities and observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures.
- You will have first hand experience of the opportunities and challenges of working in a Primary setting, and training to support your success in this role.
- You will also have the opportunity to work with other educational professionals in a range of roles.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, following the release May 2023 of the updated National standard.
- Agreed training plan on an ongoing basis across the programme, much of this will be completed in Academy with supplemental webinar and face to face learning.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Our completion of this post the candidate would be eligble for ongoing employment as a Teaching Assistant (subject to availability).
- Potentially progression into other educational roles such as HLTA or even classroom teacher (additional training required).
