What will the apprentice be doing?
Working with our schools and Nurseries delivering PE lessons, before and after school clubs, lunchtime clubs and holiday activity clubs, you will benefit from an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience delivering a whole variety of activities working mainly with children from ages 4 - 12.
During the term time you will be working at a variety of schools and nurseries (times will be announced one you receive your timetable) delivering a lunchtime sports club, assisting our lead coaches with PE in the afternoon, and delivering your own sports or activity within the after school clubs.
During the school holidays you will work at a sports camp coaching a variety of different sports and activities.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Community Activator Coach standard:
- Level 2 NGB
- Weekly tutor session delivered with practical observations.
Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full-time employment as PE and sports coach with ourselves, a school directly, further education, community-based organisation.
