What will the apprentice be doing?
Key responsibilities:
- You will work alongside an experienced team, that will help you learn the entire process of digital graphics production, from the creation of graphics, the use of print technology, cutting / preparation of graphics and application on site
- You will be helping to design and organise signage and graphics and getting experience across all our state-of-the-art equipment
- You will learn how to erect signage and apply graphics on site for a range of clients, so you will see the finished results of our work in areas like advertising, train carriages and commercial vehicle fleets
- Accredited through the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), you will study to achieve the Signage Technician Level 3 Qualification
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 3 Signage Technician Standard, plus any relevant Maths and English functional skills (if needed). Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both Stewart Signs and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit both your own and business needs. Most training and studying will be site-based. You should be comfortable with planning your workload as you progress through the apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We will aim to offer you a full-time post on completion of the apprenticeship.
