Whilst the job looks like nothing but fun this is a role that requires its carers to learn a huge amount about canine behaviour and managing the health and welfare of its daily dogs.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Daycare shifts are Monday to Friday 6:45am - 6:30pm Saturdays we are open between 10am and 2pm for swimming during the summer. Staff are scheduled 40hrs a week between Mon-Sat (a day off in the week if scheduled Saturday)

What will the apprentice be doing?
We are licensed 5 stars by Central Bedfordshire Council and we are very dedicated to providing the best possible care.
The candidate will be responsible fpr providing care for the dogs, learning and managing aspects of canine behaviour and ensuring the health and welfare of its daily dogs.
The candidate will:
- Assist with group play and field play sessions
- Health check dogs three times daily
- Help keep dogs clean and comfortable
- Cleaning daycare area and ensuring + more tasks during the day
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Full training is provided but the successful applicant will also study with the college of animal welfare for Level 2 in Animal Care + Welfare
- The training will be provided remotely with coursework set by the college and time will be svheduled for you to have shadow shifts, mentoring and college time within work
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Successful students having completed their course and time with us may be succesful in gaining a permanent position with us. There are many routes of progression with dog training, behaviour and other aspects of the business
