What will the apprentice be doing?
As an assistant manager apprentice, you will develop through the Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship in Food and Beverage, as part of the Marston’s Apprenticeship Academy. You will report directly into the general manager and as well as overseeing the successful operation of the pub, in the absence of the general manager or deputy manager, on occasion you will also have the opportunity to carry out relief cover, at your pub or another Marston’s pub, as part of your development.
You will have a structured training programme, comprising of on the job and off the job learning through workplace training, online learning, interactive webinars and masterclass skills workshops. You will gain a nationally recognised qualification, giving you an ideal grounding for a career in the hospitality industry. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be supported by your manager and our apprenticeship provider, so you will be given all the help and advice you need to succeed.
The Assistant Manager Apprentice role will:
• Provide vital support to management teams
• Independently supervise and run shifts
• Motivate, coach and develop the team
• Work under pressure to deliver excellent guest service
Build a good working knowledge of the pub operations
