What will the apprentice be doing?
The key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with general administration duties, such as answering the telephones logging client callouts and liaising with clients.
- Assist in allocation of engineer’s workloads and distribution of callouts.
- Providing support in the administering and updating of the department database.
- Providing support in administering engineers time sheets.
- Providing support to the projects managers in collating information for maintenance proposals, requests for information tenders and quotations.
- Processing of purchase invoices onto database.
- Other undefined support requirements appropriate to the skillsets of the individual.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and well organised individual with excellent organisational and administration skills, exceptional attention to detail along with a willingness to personally develop within a team in this supporting function.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The learner will be studying the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The role covers a wide range of aspects with in our department. This will give the successful applicant a great base to progress into a wide selection of admin roles e.g. Service Administration, Contracts Administration and Helpdesk Administration. All of these roles provide a ideal spring board to the building service industry and it's varied opportunities.
