Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike, from the public, private and charitable sectors. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. The apprenticeship has a typical duration of 15 months with a maximum of 18 months and apprentices are certificated on successful completion of an independent end point assessment.

Apprentices are required to have evidence of Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths prior to undertaking End Point Assessment.

Apprentices will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours through on and off-the-job learning and will complete ONLINE learning for 6 hours a week and then meet with an Eastleigh College lecturer once a fortnight to check your learning on a day release basis.

Apprentices will develop their skills in areas to include:

  • Information Technology
  • Record & document production
  • Communication
  • Planning & organising

  • Project Management

In addition to classroom learning, apprentices are welcome to join the college for any career events and guest speaker events.

End Point Assessment will include a portfolio of evidence, a completion of a project that you will complete for your employer and an interview. You will be guided by your tutor to help you prepare for all this.
