What will the apprentice be doing?

You will learn everything from:

  • Booking goods on to inventory, producing in-house products and how these goods are built
  • Checking inventory to ensure stocks are correct, investigating discrepancies and working in dispatch which will include picking orders and processes down the packing line and to include EOD manifesting before consignments are collected 
  • General health and safety in the work place including good housekeeping

Job description:

  • Picking multi products to target and KPI
  • Packing to target and KPI
  • Dispatching to target and KPI
  • Loading parcels on pallets for courier collection
  • General warehouse work
  • Stock counting
  • Barcode products
  • Assembly of internal purchase orders including the preparation of  specially modified products
  • Some heavy lifting
  • Safety shoes and PPE will be provided

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard 
  • Training will be blended - a mixture of remote and workplace visits from a dedicated development coach

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • On completion of apprentice course to become full time operative or supervisor progression pathway
