Your role will include supporting on reception where you will welcome visitors, deal with telephone queries, queries from staff and students, etc. You will also support the Curriculum Administrator with the sending of correspondence, dealing with trips and assisting with admissions to the school. To provide a confidential and admin support service to the school, supported by the Office Manager. You will have the opportunity to work with members of the admin team by supporting the Receptionist, working with the Curriculum Administrator in the sending of correspondence, trips and admissions to the school, working with other members of the team to support with the many events that take place throughout a school year and working with the Reprographics Assistant learning how to use the many and varied pieces of equipment within her office.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Your day-to-day tasks may include:

  • Supporting on reception by helping to receive visitors, answering the telephone, dealing with student and staff queries
  • Booking meeting rooms
  • Arranging stationery and medical orders
  • Preparing and distributing emails and letters
  • Assisting with the development of school literature
  • Working alongside the admissions team assisting with both the normal rounds of admissions and in-year admissions
  • Supporting the many events that are held in school over the year This could be support with parent consultation evenings or at the school production, for example
  • Assisting with hospitality arrangements
