We are looking for an apprentice Database Specialist to join our team to help develop database solutions for our customer’s wide range of use cases. You will be developing databases and will gain knowledge of Integromat, Tableau and API integration, you will also have the opportunity to learn about software development. If you are interested in learning some software development skills, and want to be a big part of something small, then this position is for you.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Developing and improving databases for customers in the Ninox platform. Ninox is a specialised data management software tool, which allows businesses to keep all their data in a centralised location allowing access to it at all times through the use of cloud-based servers
- Creating automation to make it easier for clients to enter or search for data in the database
- Creating templates for clients so that reports can be created from the database e.g. queries can be run, and pdf files can be created for the results, before being emailed or printed out
- Communicating with Customers all over the world to provide updates on the work you complete via emails, telephone and virtually
- Documenting all development work completed in our purpose built ERP for others to read and easily understand
- Completing your work in the set timescales
All this involves using a lot of specialised code (Ninox is a special system) and you will need to be very logical and good at following procedures.
Client communication is key, and the ability to understand what your customers want.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard, this will include:
- The basic working practices for productive use and maintenance of business hardware, software and networks
- Modern digital infrastructure, including computer systems fundamentals & the internet of things
- The secure handling of data
- The organisational importance of information security and its management
- The major types of threats and risk that apply to any organisation
- Agile methodologies and work practices
- Operational aspects of risk including maintaining steady state/business as usual
- Security principals for individuals and systems
- Responsibilities and requirements in relation to legislation, professional ethics, privacy and confidentiality
- The principles behind an organisation’s digital presence and how to represent and safeguard the brand
- Using the different digital communication channels and how to adapt appropriately to different audiences
