Horticultural Apprentice STEPHEN RUTHERFORD
Garden Centre / Nursery Apprentice. Varied work serving customers , propagating and maintaining plants, outside contracts including turfing, irrigation installation and soft landscaping. Apprentice will be earning a salary while learning, gaining recognised qualifications and valuable work experience.

Pay according to age and experience up to £16,055
9.30am-4pm, Monday - Friday. Some weekends in busy season.
Total hours per week: 32.5

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Retailing to the public and trade
- Propagating and maintaining plants
- Assisting with outdoor projects e.g. turfing, irrigation, planting
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Continuous training in a L2 Horticulture Apprenticeship Standard
- Tutors come in every 6 weeks
- Training at our and customer sites
- L3 First aid at work
- L2 Safe Use of Pesticides C&G
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of course candidate can apply for full-time position.
