What will the apprentice be doing?
Main Duties:
- You will be supporting our marketing team with our digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO, email, social media, video and display advertising.
- You will help to create content and images for our newsletters using Mailchimp, and help manage ongoing campaigns and contact lists for key messaging
- You will assist the team in pro-actively promoting Suffolk Chamber products, services, news and events, including design and content
- You will help to oversee our website, helping with content and design, and ensuring it remained up to date and relevant
- You will assist the marketing team with updating and populating Suffolk Chamber’s social media channels, using relevant software and dashboards to collate and monitor information and post to several accounts at once
- You will help to undertake relevant market research including competitor analysis, demographic and economic reviews and local and national trends
- You will help to create content for video promotions
- You will assist with revising and maintaining Suffolk Chamber’s media list You will assist with marketing at relevant meetings and events
- You will assist with updating the database with bounce-backs and changes to contact details
- You will help to carry out general office duties e.g. administrative support, answering the telephone, greeting visitors etc. and to undertake any additional duties commensurate with the level of this post
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The learner will be studying the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Our last marketing apprentice was kept on as a marketing coordinator, and after additional training and mentoring she became our marketing manager. She left the company after several successful years with us to take on a more senior role in London. We are keen to grow our staff, and will be willing to invest and support the right candidate to develop the skills needed to shape the role.
