We are on the outlook for an ambitious and keen to learn individual to train as a member of a team assembling and developing machines (both mechanically and electrically) in accordance with prescribed project specifications and instructions and designs, and to carry out development work on the machines as part of an engineering team.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Undertake the assembly, development of sub-assemblies and machines from engineering drawings in build in the factory during all phases of the build.
- To carry out machining to engineering drawings as required.
- Working as part of a team and individually both in the factory and at customer’s sites to assemble and develop machines and engineering solutions in the UK and worldwide.
- Learn and observe relevant procedures associated with the company’s quality systems.
- Observe and adhere to company policies in respect of health and safety, The Health and Safety at Work Act and the COSHE regulations.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping within the business at all times.
- Other such duties within the spirit and scope of this job's remit.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.
This programme includes Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering and BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering campus, NG17. This attendance is required during term time only.
You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.
You will experience a blended learning model.
You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.
At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
