You will carry out salon assistant duties whilst learning working behaviours consultation/client care, shampoo & conditioning, style & setting hair, cut and colour hair. with weekly in house training.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Training to become a stylist within the salon. 
  • Assisting stylists with clients by shampooing, mixing colours.
  • Meeting clients offering refreshments. 
  • Keeping salon clean. 
  • Making sure towels washed and fresh. 
  • Day to day duties of a busy salon.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will work towards your Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship Standard:Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing)
  • Weekly in house training
  • Receiving regular visits from your tutor throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

All apprentice’s that complete the Johnson’s apprenticeship have the opportunity to become stylists of the salon.
