What will the apprentice be doing?

Your duties will include:

  • Discussing with customers what their requirements are
  • Performing site surveys

Quote for job requirements to include:

  • Contacting suppliers for pricing
  • Ordering parts
  • Performing risk assessments and method statements
  • Completing site inductions
  • Perform an action plan
  • Complete installation of the agreed design plan
  • Exchange over to the customer
  • Maintain WISP Service – wireless internet service provider
  • Perform wireless surveys
  • Carry out problem solving for existing customers 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will work towards a Level 3 Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship delivered by VQ Solutions.

During this apprenticeship, you will develop a portfolio, attend block courses and have regular reviews. All apprenticeship work will be completed during working hours.

Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The majority of our apprentices are offered full-time employment upon the successful completion of their apprenticeship.
