What will the apprentice be doing?

The apprentice will be responsible for day to day tasks surrounding the core business and any help and assistance surrounding project work.

Duties include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Volunteer Centre
  • Providing information to stakeholders 
  • Participating in outreach activities
  • Supporting the recruitment and induction of volunteers
  • Social media marketing
  • Aiding with income generation

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be
expected to work towards the Business Administration Level 3, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.

About the employer

The Volunteer Centre is an independent charity which provides a brokerage service aimed at guiding people into volunteering. As well as this we also provide direct services to the community. We operate a befriending scheme for lonely and socially isolated people and a project aimed at supporting people who have recently been discharged from hospital.
