What will the apprentice be doing?

Your role will be key for building relationships with a range of stakeholders that support utilities design developments.

Some of your day-to-day activities could include: 

  • Building relationships and acting as a liaison between our internal utilities and planning teams to coordinate, record and manage key information between the client and stakeholders
  • Collecting key information and data from a range of sources and stakeholders to support the planning and implementation of utilities projects
  • Using Computer Aided Design (CAD) to produce drawings for utilities designs developments
  • Constructively challenge teams to address utility issues through design development, considering factors such as environmental impacts and low carbon emissions

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn as you study for an academic qualification.

You’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending college or university on day release, where you will gain a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment (Civil Engineering).

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Following on from this apprenticeship, you would be qualified to pursue a career as a civil technician or you could progress on to a level 5 apprenticeship working towards becoming a civil engineer.
