What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be joining a small team and will be learning all aspects of garments printing from start to finish. Full training on equipment will be given. We work in a professional and enjoyable environment where staff work together to offer a high level of customer service. We operate modern machinery in a safe working environment with a stable and loyal workforce.
What will the apprentice be doing?
We are now looking for a new member of staff to work as a Print Room Apprentice.
· Ensure production of high quality prints for required deadlines using heat presses
· Set up jobs on machines
· Maintain high quality print throughout the production
· Trained to use transfer printing, dye sublimation and direct to film machines to print garments
. Record jobs after production including: colour references/print order/sample
· Keep machinery clean and in good working order
· Load and off load garments on machine
· Designing logos after training
· Ensure consistency with style guide and brand guidelines
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a L3 Print Technician Apprenticeship Standard. The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship during working hours.
Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both IProSports and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available.
Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be site-based.
Candidates who do not have the required level of maths and/or English will be required to complete functional skills as part of their apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Expected career progression is to move into a Print Supervisor role.
