    £15,558.40

    Salary is paid on the last working day of the month. The rate of pay is included a percentage of service charge. Cash tips are dispensed every 3 months.

  • Working week

    Aged 16-18 - working 40 hours per week, 5 days per week - 12am until 3.30pm then 5pm until 10pm. Aged 18 and over - working 45 hours per week - 11am until 4pm then 5pm until 10pm. Working hours include one day for college attendance.

What will the apprentice be doing?

This position will offer great career progression and a solid basis to learn and excel from the beginning of your career.

The right candidate will be a positive person, with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and someone who is a team player.

Duties to include:

  • Learning to do daily tasks, such as chopping, weighing up recipes, cooking items for the menu.
  • Cold starter prep – such as mayonnaises, oils etc.,  Plating of cold starters alongside other chefs.
  • You will also develop your front of house skills as a Chef as the chefs serve the dishes direct to guests.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship.
  • Functional skills in Maths and English (if required).

This apprenticeship is taught at our City Centre Campus in Bath, one day per week, term time only.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Excellent career progression. Depending on individual a Promotion to commis chef can be achieved just after 12-14 months.
