What will the apprentice be doing?

Working under supervision, your main duties will include:

  • Assisting Chef in preparation and service of meals
  • Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
  • Operating equipment e.g. fryers, mixers, microwave, knives, cutters
  • Unloading fresh supplies and organising stock room
  • Checking use-by dates and rotating food stocks
  • Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
  • Dishwashing
  • Cleaning kitchen appliances
  • Any additional duties you may from time to time be required to undertake to meet the demands of the business
