We are a family owned and run renewables company based in Romsey looking for a Solar PV apprentice to join our growing team in the growing industry of renewables. You will be working alongside qualified installers and attending college one day a week to obtain your qualification. As well as 22 days holiday a year increasing by 1 each year.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Cinergi are in on the search for an enthusiastic apprentice Solar PV Engineer/Electrician with the below attributes:
- Enthusiastic individual interested in installing various renewable systems
- Good time keeping
- Willing to learn
- GCSE's in English and Math
- Clean drivers licence (preferred)
The job role:
Your primary job role will be to work along side the Electrical Engineers installing Solar PV, air source and ground source heat pump systems. The majority of our projects are in the retrofit sector, however, we do have a number of new build projects also. You will be expected to attend college one day a week to complete your qualification.
Your responsibilities:
- To attend college one day a week to obtain your Level 3 qualification
- To shaddow installers to learn on the job
- Pulling through cables
- On job learning how to carry out installs
- Assisting with mounting inverters and batteries
- Assisting in wiring inverters and batteries
- Assisting in roof works installing brackets & solar panels
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will be provided with onsite training as well as day release to college to gain your Level 3 Electrician qualification at Eastleigh College as well as maths and English functional skills if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Renewables is a growing industry so once qualified you will be installing the likes of Solar PV yourself along with electrical side of installs on Heats Pumps and EV Chargers.
