    £11,830.00

    Once predetermined training criteria have been met, you will receive a share of service charge and cash tips. Staff discounts on wine and an opportunity to dine at the restaurant at a discounted staff rate. On split shifts staff food is available.

  • Working week

    Monday - Thursday single shifts - 2.00pm to around 9.00pm / 9.30pm. Friday and Saturday would be double shifts. The restaurant is closed on a Sunday. You will have two days off per week. College attendance is Monday each week, term time only.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Any experience you already have will be a bonus, but it is not essential as our team of skilled Chefs will help with every aspect of your learning. This role will give you the best start to your new career as a professional Chef.

Our Chefs have worked in some of the best kitchens in the world and they are looking for a candidate to educate and nurture to become a future star of the industry.

There will be on the job learning and you will gain the skills set that will set you in good stead for your career.

Your working week will be full of opportunities to learn new skills, working with fresh produce as it arrives in the kitchen.

Your duties will include:

  • Food preparation and assisting with cooking dishes
  • Assist Chefs in cleaning food serving areas and equipment including deep cleaning on a regular basis
  • Kitchen service at mealtimes
  • Ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the team

The kitchen team will be there to help with your training every step of the way.

You will learn how to manage a section during a busy service, working both autonomously and with the kitchen team.

Our Head Chef will help to mentor you and support you to make sure your learning stays on track.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship
  • English and Math Function Skills if required

Training will be provide with Bath College at our City Centre Campus, one day per week, term time only.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The apprenticeship may lead onto becoming a fully trained Commis Chef, and thereafter building a skills set to progress to Chef de Partie and onwards. We would support the candidate with the appropriate on the job training and stages in other restaurants.
