What you will do in your working day

This is an excellent route into hairdressing, training to a very high standard with an established salon and hairdressing training provider, whilst gaining a fantastic salon experience in a busy salon with an excellent reputation.

The Hair Professional Apprenticeship is a two year long programme. You will be employed during your apprenticeship, will earn a salary and have employee benefits.

No prior experience is required but applicants will have to pass an entry level maths and English assessment (preference is for equivalent of maths & English Functional Skills Level 2, or above).

Duties will include:

  • Assist the stylists
  • Undergo 'On the job' colour and/or cutting training
  • Shampooing clients hair
  • Carry out simple hair treatments
  • Looking after clients
  • Keeping the salon tidy and clean
  • Assisting on the front desk
  • Maintaining equipment and stock
  • Days off from the salon to attend college

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Hair Proffessional Qualification
  • Relevant training will be provided through Lancaster and Morecambe College in order to complete the programme
  • Functional Skills may also have to be completed

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Become a qualified Level 2 Hair Professional and potentially permanent position.
