What will the apprentice be doing?
Pennine Medical Centre are looking to recruit a Medical Receptionist Apprentice. We offer full support and training, with the possibility of future progression within the practice. We have taken on similar employees previously, who now have thriving careers with us.
Brief Job Description:
- Using the clinical IT system (EMIS) to make appointments, record administration events, process medication requests and many other miscellaneous duties
- Document management using Docman software
- Handling specimens and ensuring the appropriate forms have been completed accurately
- Facilitating timely and appropriate communications internally and with external services and organisations
- Processing internal and external electronic communications in a timely manner
- Opening and distributing in-coming and out-going mail including scanning and posting
- Registering new patients accurately and ensuring all new patient documentation is completed
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times
- General filing/Photocopying
- Other duties considered appropriate to the post
