Salon Apprentice Jason Palmer Hairdressing
Great opportunity to join a fantastic and dedicated team as an apprentice. You will learn all aspects of the industry within a great and well-established salon with a first-class reputation, while working towards your level 2 qualification in hairdressing. You will be working as a hairdresser to provide hair cutting, styling and grooming services for men and women.

After year 1 of your apprenticeship your wage will rise to the NMW for your age
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
Tuesday 8:30- 18:30 Wednesday 8:30- 18:30 Thursday 8:30- 18:30 Friday 8:30- 19:30 Saturday 8:30- 16:30 Your age will determine the number of working hours worked in a week. This will include your training at college.

What will the apprentice be doing?
You will have 4 days a week in the salon:
- Welcoming clients into the salon from our front of house team
- Shampooing and removing colour
- Ensuring client comfort during their journey through the salon
- Helping to keep the salon running smoothly by keeping on top of towel and gown laundry
- Making beverages from our extensive drinks menu
- Assisting stylists and technicians
- Training sessions
You will have one day a week training at college.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Hair Professional level 2 standard.
Your day release colllege training will be at Basingstoke Colllege of Technology (Bcot).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There would be an option to continue at college to attain the level 3 qualification, although we sometimes advise that gaining a years worth of experience between levels is advisable. Hairdressing can take you wherever you want to go with hard work and dedication.
