What will the apprentice be doing?

The individual will be trained to:

  • Comply with Health and Safety requirements
  • Read drawings and use appropriate manufacturing methods
  • Use machining techniques such as milling & turning
  • Use welding techniques to fabricate parts
  • Understand effects of materials under different machining and
    fabrication methods
  • Have an awareness of measurements and tolerances
  • Maintain and upkeep equipment in associated areas
  • Produce or modify parts to support business needs

  • BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
    (Development Knowledge)
  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
    (Foundation Competence)
  • End Point Assessment
  • On the job MAHLE training - including health and safety and technical subject engineering training required for the job

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
