    Expected yearly salary: Year 1 – £11,025. Year 2 – £15,225. Year 3 – £16,800. Year 4 - £18,900. Accommodation & travel expenses to Aston covered where required for duration of apprenticeship. Subject to any company cost of living increases.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • The role will aim to provide an all-round experience of what being an engineer means in Festo GB.
  • Working with experienced mechanical, mechatronic, electrical, electronic and software engineers you will learn skills in all areas of engineering providing the best possible start to your career.
  • On top of your study you will work with many different departments and have the opportunity to experience many of the different roles that Festo GB offers to its engineering staff.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Via this apprenticeship, apprentices will gain:

Things to consider

For the first 2 years the apprentice candidates will be attending Aston University for a scheduled number of weeks each year but based and working at the Festo office in Northampton for any remaining time. The following 2 years are working at the Festo office in Northampton and studying the BEng online with Aston University. During college holidays you will be required to work at Festo although of course you will be eligible for 25 days annual holiday plus bank holidays that can be booked with agreement of your manager.
