This includes the sourcing of spares/wear parts for their equipment, inspection/service site visits and enquiries for technical information/support. This covers all Briggs plants – Global Technical Centre, Briggs Inc and McMillan.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Reporting to the Spares & Service Manager, you will be part of a small specialist team, supporting the parts and service needs of our clients, across a wide range of process plant and equipment for the food, beverage (brewing & distilling), pharmaceutical and health and beauty industries
- Working closely with other members of the Spares Team to support the department. Working with the team will increase your knowledge, develop your skills, and gain some valuable experience
Responsibilities will include:
- Support Spares Manager to follow up on quotes
- Promptly answering emails, phone calls and planning responses
Creating/maintaining relationships with internal & external stakeholders - Progress tracking on order status / project status
- Use of SAP for end-to-end processing.
- Creation and maintenance of part numbering systems.
- Researching parts requirements and good housekeeping of the Archive area
- Administrate repeat orders
- Process quotes as requested
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Business Administrator Level 3, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group
- As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications
