What will the apprentice be doing?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Handler Apprentice to join our Financial Lines Claims team based in Liverpool. This role is very customer-focused, requiring you to provide an excellent claims service to our clients. You will develop claims handling experience within all classes of financial lines claims which will allow you to develop professional and efficient management of all claims from cradle to grave.
Duties will include:
- Gathering data and critical evidence to manage claims
- Identifying fraudulent claims and deciding whether escalation is necessary
- Liaising with relevant internal teams, specialists and external stakeholders to ensure successful conclusions to insurance issues
This role would suit a person who is a natural multi-tasker with a keen interest in claims handling. You will put the customer at the heart of everything you do, utilising know your customer (KYC) and treating customers fairly (TCF) methodologies, handling claims in line with compliance, FCA regulations and business policies & procedures.
As the business goes through a period of growth, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in other exciting projects.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will work towards a Level 3 Insurance Practitioner - Claims Handling apprenticeship and the CII Level 3 Certificate in Insurance, which is a core qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the industry. You will achieve this whilst gaining practical experience in the workplace and earning a competitive salary along the way.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you could consider progressing within our Specialty Broking division or consider other opportunities that may be available across the Group.
