What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Whilst training as an Early Years Practitioner, you will be working as part of the team. You will work under supervision to provide all aspects of care for the children including, washing, changing and
    feeding
  • Plan and organise fun and educational activities
  • Attend associated training deemed appropriate by the manager in consideration of your individual needs
  • Assist with meeting the personal, social and emotional needs of individual children
  • Be aware of the nursery's confidentiality policy and all other policies the manager deems appropriate
  • Attend staff meetings, parent’s evenings and training

  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship
  • BTEC Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioner
  • Support with English and Maths if required

Things to consider

You will need to have a clear DBS before starting the role. Be willing to continue and upskill to Level 3 Early Years Educator on successful completion of Level 2 Early Years Practitioner.
