About the employer

TFS was founded in 1996 by Kevin Hynes; he saw an opportunity for a new fire and security business in Teesside after working worldwide in the oil and gas industry for many years. Kevin initially worked alone from his home in Middlesbrough but the company quickly grew and gained success; TFS has since moved offices three times due to rapid expansion. His son David has worked for TFS since he was a teenager and took over in 2020, allowing Kevin to semi-retire and enjoy some well earned time off. TFS now employ over 40 staff in the North East region, working nationally out of their Middlesbrough offices. The company is continuing to grow at a consistent rate, taking on large scale jobs including hospitals, council buildings and construction projects.
